Digital Leaders

Caradog Digital Leaders

Welcome - Croeso

We are looking to recruit new Digital Leaders for the 2020-2021 School Year.

Meet our Digital Mascot!

PC and his Sidekick M are our Digital Mascots. They both represent the digital world of learning at Caradog Primary School,
whilst reminding us of important rules when using technology in our learning.

You will find our digital mascots displayed all around the school and attached to all our technology.

PC and his Sidekick M were designed as part of a Digital Leaders competition during the Summer Term 2019.
Children from all year groups in our school were able to submit their designs to be considered for our mascots.
The Digital Leaders then had the difficult decision of deciding the winner.

Digital Communities Wales - Digital Heroes

Digital Heroes help people get online around Wales

Digital Communities Wales is the Welsh Government digital inclusion project which is being delivered by the Wales Co-operative Centre. One strand of work that the project has developed is Digital Heroes - young people who are volunteering to help older people and others to get online.

Sony Technology Centre - Pencoed

We were very fortunate enough to visit the Sony Technology Centre, Pencoed to develop our digital skills.
We had a tour of the fantastic facility, made a short film using some cutting edge technology and learned how to use BBC MicroBits.

Sony UK TEC Educational Programmes

At Sony UK TEC, we are extremely proud of our work with schools and organisations across Wales that allows us to deliver a number of educational programmes that help increase STEM awareness and skills. Since 2012, we have opened our doors to over 10,000 pupils and that figure is growing rapidly.

Digital Den

We have been fortunate enough to receive a grant of £4000 from the Tesco Bags of Help scheme, thanks to the support of our community. We have invested the full £4000 into improving technology around our school and establishing the 'Caradog Digital Den'. The Digital Den has been stocked with the latest technology, including ChromeBooks, BeeBots and Green Screen Technology to allow our pupils to extend their learning through digital mediums.
