Attendance Ambassadors

Our 'Attendance Ambassadors' are a group of pupils who have been elected by their peers to help improve and maintain good attendance and punctuality across the whole school.

Their role is to:

  • Help Mrs Hook share the message of the importance of high attendance through our assemblies, school newsletters, school website and Class Dojo etc. We also update the school's attendance board every week.
  • Award weekly dojo points to every pupil who has achieved 100% attendance.
  • Support Mrs Hook in identifying pupils with excellent and improved attendance every half term.
  • Oraganise raffle tickets for every pupil who has achieved 100% attendance over a half term period (these are drawn at the end of the year).
  • Discuss ideas for suitable rewards for excellent and improved attendance and complete pupil surveys to find out what most pupils in school would like.

In addition. the Chairperson and Secretary work weekly to:

  • Collect attendance reports from Mrs Barnes (School Clerk) and review them to identify the class from each Progression Step with highest attendance and the best class overall.
  • Share weekly attendance figures with the whole school during a Monday assembly and present weekly attendance certificates to the class in each Progression Step with the highest weekly attendance and announce the reward for the best class overall (from previous week).
