Young Minds, Big Dreams!

Welcome

Rights Respecting School

Here at Caradog we are proud to announce that we are a RIGHTS RESPECTING SCHOOL!

The Rights Respecting Schools Award (RRSA) recognises achievement in putting the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) at the heart of a school’s planning, policies, practice and ethos. A rights-respecting school not only teaches about children’s rights but also models rights and respect in all its relationships: between pupils and adults, between adults and between pupils.

We have recently been presented with our SILVER Award and are now on the journey to achieving GOLD! We would love your cooperation on this journey.

It has been wonderful to see the children grow as Rights Respecting citizens as they become more aware of their rights and see how they are able to apply these to everyday situations. The children have worked extremely hard to learn these rights and promote these throughout their daily life.

A huge WELL DONE to our School Council for leading our Rights Respected Journey this year!

Here at Caradog we have been busy exploring our RIGHTS OF A CHILD!

Here are our 'Rights Ambassadors'

Here at Caradog we are proud to have achieved our SILVER AWARD! Our Rights Mascots and all of our learners have worked extremely hard to embed rights within our School and Community!

Our School Council Role Models lead the way launching Rights Respected Schools in Assembly last year. We had several meetings to plan for how we would achieve our Bronze Award and how Caradog can best promote the Rights of a Child.

We looked at how we can learn not only about the Rights, but learn through the Rights too!

We took part in a whole school 'OUR RIGHTS SHINE BRIGHT' Week here at Caradog, where we celebrated the Rights of a Child and how we use these Rights in Caradog to achieve our mission YOUNG MINDS, BIG DREAMS!

School Council also launched a RIGHTS RESPECTING MASCOT Competition- Well done to our talented winner!

Da iawn Pawb!
